01. Selling
For exhibitors
There is a number attached to this booth, and someone will ask what it returned.
The trap
Counting scans. With 109 sponsors chasing the same 13,000 people, a badge with no context is worth very little by October.
What to do
- Staff heavy when Deep Dives and Academy Labs are running. Those two-hour blocks empty the hall.
- Hall B holds HubSpot House, Builder Bar, Academy and the Braindate Lounge. Hall A holds two stages. Know which crowd is yours.
- Get the question and the timeline recorded while the person is still in front of you.
Walk out with
Conversations you can name, instead of a file you have to decode.
02. Category presence
For exhibitors
You are here because your buyers assume the real vendors are here.
The trap
Letting it be judged on scan count. Measured that way, presence looks like failure every single year.
What to do
- Tech Stack Showcase slots run about twenty minutes and put your name on the official agenda, not just the floor plan.
- Sponsored speaking sessions are a listed sponsorship product. Stage time reads differently from booth space.
- The Sector groups meetups by industry. Being in the room where your category gets discussed costs nothing extra.
Walk out with
Evidence you were part of the conversation rather than standing next to it.
